For diving enthusiasts, Sithonia is the ideal destination as it is one of the best sites for diving in Greece and Europe. The greatly uneven terrain of the land and its wild morphology continues under water with canyons, reefs, vertical granite walls, meadows, caves and shipwrecks. The beauty of the seabed complements the rich underwater life, and the crystal-clear waters offer high visibility and, in summer, the seawater temperature is invariably about 25 degrees Celsius. The amazing underwater terrain and the rich flora and fauna of the seabed are accessible to everyone, amateurs, and professionals alike, under the supervision of an experienced diving instructor.

THE REEF OF KALOGRIA’S COAST
The reef on the coast of Kalogria is one of the most famous attractions of Sithonia and a destination for divers in Greece. It is a small beautiful reef that slopes gently down to the seabed. Snorkelers, also, will appreciate diving at this spot since it allows the visitors to observe a great abundance of marine life.
WHAT TO SEE
Sea anemones, sponges, lobsters, groupers, congers, shoals of bream and prawns can be seen in these green-blue waters.

KELIFOS – TURTLE ISLAND
TThe island of Kelifos which is situated between the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas, right in the middle of the Gulf of Toroni, is an uninhabited island. Kelifos or else Turtle Island, has an area of 1 km in length and 700m width and presents great interest for diving, with crystal clear waters and seabed diversity.
WHAT TO SEE
Impressive sea anemones grow in the sand, while, slightly under the seabed, one can find seahorses and many kinds of shellfish. Often, large shoals of sardines, anchovies and smelts come into the bay, followed by their predators, that are mainly basses, hunters and various tuna like species. Finally, frequent is the presence of monk seals and dolphins that come into the area to hunt.

SCUBA DIVING LESSONS
If the surface of the sea has charmed you, the underwater world will enchant you. Just follow the guidance of the experienced of diving instructors. We will get you in touch with them and they will initiate you into the secrets of diving. You will enrich your holidays with an unforgettable experience: exploring the underwater world of Greece. The local scuba-diving schools will provide you with everything you will need. If you are an experienced diver, you should be holding your certification and your logbook. If this is to be your first rendezvous with scuba-diving, a swim will do. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
